Children's Yoga

Children are natural yogis.  They live in the present moment and they love to explore their bodies.  The practice of Yoga can help give children flexibility, strength, emotional stability, self esteem and an overall sense of wellbeing .

Update - Children's Sessions

In the last few months I have been busy starting up my post natal mother & baby sessions and taking on a few additional adult classes.  I have, however, been part of a hugely successful Wellbeing Day at a local primary school where I taught yoga stretches, breathing exercises and deep relaxation to all 10 of the classes from Reception up to Year 6. 

Not only did I thoroughly enjoy the sessions, but each class was able to lie down and relax deeply at the end and go back to their other sessions in a very peaceful and calm way.  It was wonderful to see yoga in action and I am now even more committed to bringing the benefits of yoga into schools and to children of all ages.

Classes for Children will start later this year.  Numbers will be limited.  To register interest please contact me.  No obligation!

 
Children's Classes will include:
  • adaptation of traditional postures
  • breathing techniques
  • age appropriate relaxation and visualisations for children
  • yoga songs, stories, chants and yoga oriented games (as appropriate by age)
  • FUN!!

 

Teen Classes

  • Specially adapted to be appropriate and relevant to teenagers
  • Assists with self-esteem, body image, stress management and relaxation
  • Yoga gives a toolkit for life!
